Why did you choose dehydration over other processing methods?Updated 3 days ago

We wanted to offer a complementary product to our baked food that prioritized whole food ingredients with minimal processing while remaining practical for everyday feeding. Dehydration preserves more nutrients than almost any other food preservation method, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing optimal nutrition from real ingredients you can see and recognize.

The high-heat sterilization process required for canned food not only degrades vitamins and antioxidants but also prevents the inclusion of whole food ingredients like leafy greens and fruits that would break down under intense heat processing. Fresh and frozen foods require expensive cold-chain shipping (often with dry ice), have a much higher environmental footprint due to refrigerated transport, cost significantly more, and take up valuable fridge or freezer space in your home. While freeze-drying preserves nutrients well, it requires significantly more energy and results in a much higher environmental footprint than our dehydration process.

The result is a shelf-stable food that springs back to life with the addition of water, delivering fresh nutrition with whole food ingredients that you can actually see - without the fresh food hassles, environmental impact, or storage constraints.
