What is your food's shelf life?Updated 6 months ago
Shelf life refers to the maximum duration before the nutrition degrades (typically the fat oxidizing) beyond an acceptable threshold. In sealed bags, our baked food has a similar shelf life to dry kibble, which is 18 months from the date it was baked.
Our food is made in small batches that typically sell out within three months, so we are selling food that was baked recently and likely has 12+ months of remaining shelf life.
Once the bag has been opened, we recommend storing your food in an airtight container to preserve freshness as air exposure will increase the rate of fat oxidation. The best way to store the food is rolling over the top of the open bag, clipping it, and then placing the bag in an air-tight container. The open bag can be stored for up to 10 weeks when stored properly.
