How should I store the Whole Food Mixer before and after opening?Updated 3 days ago
Unopened bags: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, just like our baked food. The dehydrated format has a shelf life of 18 months from manufacture. This date is printed on the back of the bag.
After opening: Transfer to an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent moisture absorption. Properly stored dry mixer will maintain quality for 6-8 weeks after opening. We recommend containers with tight-fitting lids - the same ones you'd use for storing flour or other pantry ingredients.
Prepared food storage: Once you've added water, treat the prepared food like fresh homemade food:
- Serve immediately for best taste and texture
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days in a covered container
- Do not leave prepared food at room temperature for more than 2 hours
- Do not freeze prepared food, as this will change the texture significantly
